Business Critical Services

This service is the IT component of the 'Business Continuity Service'. Business Critical services looks at the IT aspect of your business. Originally conceived at Digital Equipment it was further developed at Compaq then at HP. At ITgo we have developed this service into something affordable for the small to medium sized business.

Objective

The objective is to identify all of the risks to the IT environment and prioritise them. ITgo consultants will help you:

• Improve IT staff efficiency by automating and simplifying recovery processes
• Protect invaluable business data from disasters

The following example 'radar graph' shows the greatest risk to the business is in the area of workforce organization and the physical environment.

The Process

The process will be documented in a formal proposal once we understand your requirements. When the proposal is accepted our team work with you in a stepped and phased approach. This process consists of:-

Analysis of the IT environment and any issues affecting IT. This is done by a team running assessments, audits and workshops which help you evaluate your preparedness, clarify your business requirements and determine the most appropriate business continuity strategies. Services include:

• Business Continuity Assessment
• Business Impact Analysis
• Risk Assessment

Evaluation of the data collected establishes the risks and determines what is significant to the business.

Report Creation is the process of creating the report and presentations as required by you the customer.

In the following example this customer is at great risk from a number of areas including password control, security management and legacy dependancies. The scale 100 indicates the greatest risk. The closer to zero the less the risk to the business.
